A jam night, also known as a jam session, is a gathering of musicians who play together informally without preparation or predefined arrangements. Jam nights can range from casual gatherings of amateurs to more sophisticated recording sessions by professionals. They are similar to open mic nights, but are also open to instrumentalists.
